Re-flashing and Configuring a DASH



Re-flash DASH2 from VIDEO4


  1. Make sure both DASH2 and VIDEO4 are not powered.
  2. Connect DASH2 unit to VIDEO4
  3. Put DASH2 firmware file (DASH.HEX) in the root folder of a CF card.
  4. Insert the CF card to External Drive of VIDEO4
  5. Power the DASH2 unit and wait unit it boots up successfully
  6. Power the VIDEO4 unit
  7. VIDEO4 will start to re-flashing the DASH2 unit. (Refer DASH2 manual for indicators while re-flashing)
  8. After competition both units will continue to their normal operation. (The DASH.HEX file will be moved to folder named DONE after successful update)



Reconfigure DASH2 from VIDEO4


  1. Make sure both DASH2 and VIDEO4 are not powered.
  2. Connect DASH2 unit to VIDEO4
  3. Put DASH2 configuration file (DASH.DAT) in the root of a CF card.
  4. Insert the CF card into the External Drive of VIDEO4
  5. Power up the DASH2 unit and wait until it boots up successfully
  6. Power up the VIDEO4 unit
  7. VIDEO4 will start to reconfigure the DASH2 unit. (Refer DASH2 manual for indicators while reconfiguring)
  8. After competition both units will continue their normal operation. (The DASH.DAT file will be moved to a folder named DONE after successful update)



Re-flashing/Reconfiguring DASH3 from VIDEO4


  1. Make sure both DASH3 and VIDEO4 are not powered.
  2. Connect DASH3 unit to VIDEO4.
  3. Put DASH3 firmware/configuration file (DASH.HEX) in the root of a CF card.
  4. Insert the CF card into the External Drive of VIDEO4.
  5. Power up the DASH3 unit and wait until it boots up successfully.
  6. Power up the VIDEO4 unit.
  7. VIDEO4 will start to re-flash/reconfigure the DASH3 unit. (Refer DASH3 manual for notification messages while re-flashing/reconfiguration)
  8. After competition both units will continue to their normal operation. (The DASH.HEX file will be moved to a folder named DONE after successful update)
