Re-flashing and Configuring a DASH
Re-flash DASH2 from VIDEO4
- Make sure both DASH2 and VIDEO4 are not powered.
- Connect DASH2 unit to VIDEO4
- Put DASH2 firmware file (DASH.HEX) in the root folder of a CF card.
- Insert the CF card to External Drive of VIDEO4
- Power the DASH2 unit and wait unit it boots up successfully
- Power the VIDEO4 unit
- VIDEO4 will start to re-flashing the DASH2 unit. (Refer DASH2 manual for indicators while re-flashing)
- After competition both units will continue to their normal operation. (The DASH.HEX file will be moved to folder named DONE after successful update)
Reconfigure DASH2 from VIDEO4
- Make sure both DASH2 and VIDEO4 are not powered.
- Connect DASH2 unit to VIDEO4
- Put DASH2 configuration file (DASH.DAT) in the root of a CF card.
- Insert the CF card into the External Drive of VIDEO4
- Power up the DASH2 unit and wait until it boots up successfully
- Power up the VIDEO4 unit
- VIDEO4 will start to reconfigure the DASH2 unit. (Refer DASH2 manual for indicators while reconfiguring)
- After competition both units will continue their normal operation. (The DASH.DAT file will be moved to a folder named DONE after successful update)
Re-flashing/Reconfiguring DASH3 from VIDEO4
- Make sure both DASH3 and VIDEO4 are not powered.
- Connect DASH3 unit to VIDEO4.
- Put DASH3 firmware/configuration file (DASH.HEX) in the root of a CF card.
- Insert the CF card into the External Drive of VIDEO4.
- Power up the DASH3 unit and wait until it boots up successfully.
- Power up the VIDEO4 unit.
- VIDEO4 will start to re-flash/reconfigure the DASH3 unit. (Refer DASH3 manual for notification messages while re-flashing/reconfiguration)
- After competition both units will continue to their normal operation. (The DASH.HEX file will be moved to a folder named DONE after successful update)
