Connecting Hardware
All current RT hardware uses a standard data protocol that allows you to connect them in many different ways. Diagrams of how to connect together the most common combinations are illustrated.
If you have a combination that is not covered then please contact Race Technology and we will supply the information directly.
Note: These diagrams are intended to show the data connections between the units and not as a complete wiring diagram. Power connections to the units and the GPS antenna to the DL1 are not shown for clarity.
"WARNING": To avoid any possible damage to the car paintwork, please take care when mounting magnetic GPS antennas. In particular make sure that there are no dust or grit under the antenna. In some cases it maybe required to add additional protection to the paintwork prior to mounting the antenna to avoid damage.
Note 1: In late 2009 the ECU serial adapter was changed slightly to simply connect it up. For information relating to ECU adapters purchased before this date, please check here.
Note 2: for the serial OBD adapter the connection to the ECU is different to the standard ECU adapter, see this page for more information
Note 3: for the CAN OBD adapter the connection to the ECU is different to the standard ECU adapter, see this page for more information
