CANInterface / Description

Description

The CAN interface receives CAN messages from the transmitting device, typically an ECU, and converts them into Race-Technology format RS232 serial messages which it then transmits to the receiving device, typically a Race Technology data-logger, display, or PC-based monitor software.

The CAN interface is unlike most Race Technology products, in that it does not contain a default configuration that will work for most people "out-of-the-box". Unless you happen to be using the specific ECU that we use to test the CAN interfaces, then you will need to configure it before it will work with your ECU. In order to configure the decoding of the CAN messages, it is necessary to configure your CAN interface using the CAN configuration software. Instructions for using the configuration software can be found here: CAN configuration software
