Powering ECU adapters


In late 2009 the ECU serial adapter was changed slightly to simply the way it was connected it up, and in particular to simplify the say it was powered. Previous to late 2009 the ECU adapter always took in power from 2 wires that were connected to one of the d types perminantly wired to the ECU adapter:

If you are using this type of hardware then you must connect power to these wires from an external source for the ECU adapter to function.

On later hardware the connections where modified so when possible the ECU adapter was powered from the data logger it was connected to. If powering from the data logger was not possible, then it can be powered using the supplied terminator:
