Is it just me or is anybody else having problems with oil temp in the analysis software? I have only just realised what is causing an error. It seems to have happened after one of the update but not sure which one and it could be just coincidence. I am getting an error of
Error in expression syntax, at position 0
In an X Y graph I dont get a temp reading just what looks like a voltage reading. If I convert the reading in the variable manager from the Bosch oil temp sensor to voltage I dont get the error.
Help!

Every once in an Analysis upgrade or two, the syntax rules for formulas or constants changes which makes for a processing error. Syntax location zero is the 1st position, so there must be an error in the default forumula. Do you know the calibration curve for the sensor? If yo do, try putting it in manually. If not, then just try to read the volts from the sensor to make sure the hardware is working properly.

Hi Matt,
There was an error in the formula, but this was fixed some time ago. So your options are:
- make sure that you are using the latest software and variable file
or
- simple enter the fomula as a custom equation, which in the case of oil in degrees C is:
-1.143 *x^3 + 10.804 * x^2 + -57.127 *x + 137.110
"Looks like I have support baffled."... yeh, right "I don't think so"
