Evenin all,
I'm fitting a Dash 2 into my Focus rally car and am hoping to use the std fuel level sender.
I don't suppose anyone else has done it and could pass on the settings, saving me a few hours?
Cheers all.
Pete

You will need to know what the ohm range is for the sender. Wire up the pull up network with the appropriate resistor. Then feed in 1 liter (or 1/2 gallon - or so) at a time and take some data.

If you know the sender's resistance range, you can approximate the amount with a linear extrapolation, but most OE gas tanks are not linear in how they fill. So you would likely be best to do it yourself.

That's the proces I'm going through with the temp and oil sensors, I was just hoping somone else might have done the fuel and could save me a couple of hours.

Have you checked the workshop manual? The full and empty resistances are normally published for diagnostic purposes.

I've not checked yet, but i'd need some readings in the middle ideally to get a more useable indication.
I'll put it empty and take readings every 10 Ltr I guess.

Hi, did you find out the range of resistance for the mk1 focus?
