Boost sensor

Postby Capposteve » Sat Jul 07, 2012 8:34 am

Hi all

Being new to the dash2 scene I have a quick question to ask.
I have a stock 2bar map sensor being used by my standard ecu to read boost pressure. Is there anyway I can use the existing sensor to send the data to the dash two as well??

Many thanks.

Steve

Jut tap the signal wire from the sender. No issues with that assuming the voltage from the sensor is within the Dash2 specs.

Is the boost pressure sender a "gauge" or an "absolute" sensor? i.e, does it also measure vacuum?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I would imagine it reads vacume as well but I won't be able to tell unless I measure it I guess

If it's labeled, it should say PSIg or PSIa. You want the "a" version to also measure vacuum.
