Since I can't find a proper adaptor to fit the Race-Technology Bosch oil temperature sensor, I want to buy a 1/8NPT VDO sensor.

Here is the wiring diagram from RT :




Am I right in assuming, that I can install the sensor like this :



Will I get more or less accurate readings ?

Yes. It assumes you have a good ground for the sensor though.

That's exactly what I am using on my racecar currently for oil temp logging. Of course, it's easier to do the bridge at the DL1, rather than back at the sensor...

Has been working just fine for me for a year, except when I broke the lug off the sender in service.

I will order from them as soon as they have them in stock.
