Oil pressure warning light

Postby emersom » Sun Feb 20, 2011 10:50 am

Hi,

Has anyone on here fitted a simple oil pressure warning light with a DL1. Is this possible? If so how?!

Cheers!

The longacre one is just a relay. It will go "high" when the oil pressure is too low.

Or how can one use a Dash 3 with a DL1 to show a low oil pressure warning?

assuming you have a oil pressure sensor wired up, the knowledge base should have information on how to get the Dash3 to display a warning. I have a Dash2 and don't know the ins and out of a D3.

If all you want is a warning light, I would suggest a stand alone one. You can pick up the voltage that lights up the warning light with the DL1.

A stand alone warning system is simpler and gives you some redundancy to the R-T data loggers.
