external start/stop button installation

Hello,

I have a DL2 and I want to use an external start/stop button. I can start and stop sampling by grounding pin C of Conn-2. But I don´t know where do I have to connect the wires of the button to switch on the led. I tried connecting the yellow wire to pin D and the red one to pin L, but it does not work

Color Connection Conn2 Pin
Red +12V B
Blue Gnd D
Yellow Start logging C
Green Status L

Older switches have different colors, but label IDs the connection.

Now it works ,

with my start/stop buttons connections are:

Black - GND D
White - Start logging C
Yellow - status O/P L
Red - power in G
