Connecting of sensors to DL1 / Dash2

Hi there,

we are going to install an DL1 and Dash2.
Now i am thinking of connecting both the RT oil pressure and the oil temperature sensor.
But the Dash2 does not have a 12 V or 5 V reference output, only the DL1 has.
I think using the Dash2 12V power supply from the car is not exact enough to use for supplying the sensor.

My question is: is it possible to use the DL1 voltage output to supply the sensor and connect the sensor to analogue input at the Dash2?

I asked this in an email to RT, with respect to connecting up my fuel gauge.
(Oil/water temp and oil pres' are routed directly to the DL1 for logging, I wasn't bothered about logging fuel levels)

Yes, use the 5v output from the DL1 if the DL1 and the DASH2 use the same power supply then you can use either ground as they are connected any way. Also yes you need to connect the signal to pin N of CONN1 (pin .
