requirement for diodes in circuits.
The OEM vehicle wiring diagrams show diodes being fitted to a number of circuits, in particular, some of those that involve the instrument display/combination meters. When replacing or building a instrument display using a dash 2 pro unit as upgrade is there a requirement to embody similar diodes to "protect" the circuitry, or to establish correct operation.
Re: requirement for diodes in circuits.
Hello,
The DASH2PRO has built in protection diodes, so there is no requirement to fit any on the dashes wiring. However we do expect the customer to fit the supplied fuse (0.5A / 500mA) into the dashes wiring. If unsure we offer a fitting service or you may want to consult a qualified electronics technician.
