BMW V8 RPM signal from MBE to DASH2

Postby hellas » Wed May 07, 2008 4:10 pm

Hi,
i have a problem displaying RPM on my DASH2. The DASH2 displays the RPM up to aprox 2700 after that the RPM scale goes down to 0 RPM and stays there until the engine revs under 2700.

Any ideas?

Without knowing details of the signals it is difficult to say. It could be that the pulses going to the DASH2 are very short and that over 2700rpm they just get too short and it can't see them. Do you have any way to view the signals such as an oscilloscope?

How is the RPM signal input to Dash2?

Is there a DL1 involved?
