Dash2 & DL1 Serial interface

I have a dash 2 and a dl1 data logger, i am also looking at buying a Vob to put in my ginetta project car, i was wondering if you could add more than one device on the serial link, i am trying to hook my dl1 up to my dash2 via serial to display stats from it but i also want to have a serial port on my dash or in my boot to allow me to be able to hook the dash up to my pc without having to disconnect it from the dl1 and am unsure how to do it so any help would be apprechiated.


P.S just thought it might be worth adding it is a mk2 dl1.

Hi Phil,
It is possible to make up a serial cable which will enable you to look at the data which is being sent to the DASH2 at the same time as the DASH2 sees it, but not to enable more than one item to actually send information to the DASH2.
The easiest way to think about this is that you can have as many items listening at the same time as you like, but only one can be talking.
