Dash 2 probs - again

Help, At Brands with a Dash2 that will not show RPM or any resonable response to changes in oil P or water temp. The data logger is working fine and the sensors are ok as I can see them wotking on the analysis SW.
When I switch on the Dash 2 it seems to take a long time to configure itself - the little 11001001 type display does not show up like it used to. The logging light comers on if you turn on the logger so the comms cable is OK. If I change something in the config that relects on the display as well.
I tried to reflash the firmware - dash.hex. Not sure if that worked but the 2nd from right orange led(Fog light?) flashed, but no change
Anyone on line today or tomorrow AM who can help????? I'm on pole for the race and neeeeed some RPM/Shift lights
