Weird characters after reflashing

Hello everybody,
recently I wired up my Dash 2 the first time for testing. Although it has never been used before, it's a quite old device (08. Dec 2008, S.N. 1526).
At the beginning everything worked perfectly. Then I reflashed the Dash 2 to use the latest configuration tool. The reflahing process finished sucessfully (USB RS232 adapter, firmware 9 3 0 120425).
Now the Dash 2 doesn't work anymore. After turning-on it only shows weird characters:
I already tried to reflash the unit several times with three different firmware versions (9 30, 9 ??, 9 10), but nothing works. The forum search showed a similar problem: Dash 2 error
