dash 2 shift lights and data log error

Postby mebilloz » Mon Jul 11, 2011 11:34 am

Hi All

I have just run my DL1/Dash2 combo in anger for the first time. In reviewing the data I noticed that the max RPM in the data log was just under 7000rpm. Yet I was shifting when all the shift lights came on which should have been at 7600rpm. The Dash is feed the Rpm from the ECU on a dedicated line. I am also running a ECU serial connection to the DL1. Any thoughts on this. I need to re-visit the camera footage to see if I can make out where the RPM indicator is when the lights go off.
Other than that, it was brilliant.

Thanks
Bill

Make sure that the data variables for RPM scaling are consistent between the Dash2 and Analysis software.

Dash2 config tool:
RPM tab, under Pulses per rev

Analysis:
Data>Edit Default Vehicle Options>> RPM & Wheel Pickup > Ignition Pulses per Rev

The DL1 is a "dumb" recorder, but I don't have an ECU adapter for cannot comment.
