Sector Times? DL1 with V6

Postby Scott Malbon » Sat Jan 07, 2006 11:36 pm

Trying V 6 for the first time. Have put multiple markes on my track map, but i can't seem to get sector times, just lap times. How do I get sector times?

Thanks.

Data Menu->Lap & Sector Options -> Sector Setup tab

90% of the time I just leave "Automatically add sectors when lap marker is added" option turned on

Thanks Jeremy. I need to spend some time with this software. Still not right yet.

I didn't like the automatic sectors generated. How can I get the software to use sector markings I've put on the track map?

BTW, I'm a mid-pack Spec Miata racer in the SEDiv. Will stick with Regionals at least another year.

On the same sector setup tab window, click on the grey boxes on the left

click that "add sector definition" box

then setup the ones you need:

I tend to use the option tab and break the circuit into sectors based on corners / straights, then add splits and any other as appropriate.

Downside of this being you can't do is to reorder sector markers such that inserting a sector between two existings ones rather than appending it to the list in "distance" order.

I like to break up my sectors into corners and straights too.

But I just found out that the timing display on the Dash1 can only deal with 9 sector markers.

So if you have a Dash1, you should get in the habit of using fewer than 9 sector markers.
