RPM Scale

Hi i am totaly new to this, so i may be being simple but... i have loaded my run file and it all seems to work ok , but the RPM is almost totaly at 8000 rpm i have a dl1 connected to my dash2 and the rpm is perfect on the display.

Any ideas?

Hello,

The software by default has a limit of 8000, filtering and 1 pulse per rev. If you have 4 pulses per rev then the software will be display the RPM 4 times to big making it mostly be on the 8000 limit.

* First thing remove the limit.
- In analysis go to data> variable manager
- In the variable manager drop down external input
- Then drop down RPM

You will now see the limit of 8000 change this to 0

The data will automatically reprocess (Version 8.5)

Now look at the RPM in a XY graph. It will now longer be clipping and if it is not at the correct value you need to change the pulse per rev.

* Changing pulse per rev
- In analysis under data> vehicle options
- RPM tab
- Entre correct pulses per rev
