Re-zero distance on Dash 3

Postby Colin105 » Mon Feb 04, 2013 3:43 am

Just purchased a DL1 and Dash 3 for my tarmac rally car. Just thinking about what I want to display on the Dash and wondering if there is any way to have a Distance count-up that is re-settable back to zero with a button. A button on the dash would be ideal, but external input to the logger would be ok, maybe the unused lap beacon input?
You only need 2 things in your tool box, duct tape and WD40.
-if it moves and it shouldn't use the duct tape
-if it doesn't move and it should use the WD40

DL1 Mk1, 2 or 3?

The Dash2 has a trip odometer that is re-settable.

I do not own a Dash3, but you can assign "Distance" to a variable. I do not know if that can be reset to zero.

You do not have a purpose built rally TSD computer?

Sorry the DL1 doesn't output distance and the DASH3 doesn't calculate it.

This feature is only available on the DASH2.

Kind regards,
Kieran

Correct. The DASH3 can display any message being sent to it. If you select a message that isn't being sent to it then it will just display 0.
