Correct, you control what is overlayed.

If you only want lap times and a track map, you configure it that way. If you want no overlay, you can do that as well.

Open the variable manager in Analysis and active (check box) the serial variables you are sending from the ECU, be sure to hit apply in the bottom right corner of the variable manager before you close the window.

I do not believe the DASH2 supports this type of continuous timer display, it only displays the time when you cross your sector "beacons".

You can check it with lite monitor and make sure the accelerometers are near 0 sitting there (or 1g when turned fully on it's side). This assumes you have the proper unit orientation: m If finally you have some tip you can adjust for it here: m (note the warnings about auto-zero before each run!!)

You should only start logging after you have GPS lock.

I use the autostart based on speed (DL1 Configure Speed >500; note the units are in 1/10 kph) for my track use, that insures I have GPS lock and that I don't get log files just moving the car around in the paddock.

Email the UK folks the serial number of your display (stick on the back of the unit). If there's no sticker than it's most likely an earlier one but the UK guys may know how to extract the serial another way. If the harness you have is the one that came with the Dash2 and it does not have the 5v lea...

I've already made Martin aware of this issue. Nothing to be concerned about as it won't impact the operation or your usage in analysis. They'll get it sorted in a future firmware.

I think Al said the 9.2.0 was a typo, I asked him to post a clarification.

My email address is available via the "email" button on the bottom of every post. :) Send your DASH2 config too when you send the SETUP.bin

My understanding is no. Those options can only be part of the original fitment.

if you desire those, you'd be best off selling used unit (typically ~$450-500 for a used MK1) and purchasing the unit you desire.

What DASH2 firmware level?
I can't help much more on the config without looking your DL1 SETUP.bin file, but if you want to email it to me I'll take a look.

Yes, it's an option when initially ordering your DL1 (see the DL1 ordering page).
