I've done this myself for a twin thermocouple amplifier for measuring the efficiency temperature drops across a water /air intercooler. My circuit was based on the Analog Devices AD595 chip and has been in use for about 3 years with no problems. The circuit is more or less exactly as described in th...

DL1 no longer working

strange one this - Its been working fine for several years and reently have been messing around using different setup.bin on the CF card. I then put another sensor into the back of the DL1 (TPS via 12v analogue input) and went racing last weekend with a another 256 MB SanDisk CF card (formatted as F...

Have we resolved the issue of auto start / stop parameters having to be identical (as per the wiki - m) or logical (as per discussed by users earlier in this topic which seem to work) ? Also if the speed is used as the trigger, from what you say above, the speed accuracy is used such that the loggin...

After similar frustration using auto start/stop with speed, I've gone back to using the button on the front. WYSIWYG... If you cannot reach the logger when strapped in, I can see two possibilities: 1) use a switch to 12v on one of the analogue channels and "simply" use that to auto start /...

I suspect its down to the resolution of the thermocouple channel. For example, take 256 possible levels of change. Over a 1000 degree range thats approx 4 deg per level. Over 100 degree range thats 0.4 deg per level. What you need to do is to increase the sensitivity by reducing the temperature rang...

I don't think it is possible to do what you want. The analysis "scripter plug-ins" which generate data for analysis software works on data captured by the serial port on the DL1 and not the data generated by the DL1 itself. I suppose you could hand-craft a complete off-line decoder for you...

The data you require is contained within the .run file (see serial data, packet 55) though its not presented to the user via the variable manager (I presume because its not a simple numerical value but a string).

Thats great news! :)

Based on the regions you select on the website I would have thought application testing would have been done on UK, USA, Benelux and Japan regional settings as a minimum. Thats a fourfold increase in regression testing prior to software releases... ouch!

mmm I've got 23 controls listed in that folder but mine works.... Can you find any entries to these controls in the registry ? eg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AGAUGE.AGaugeCtrl.1 or HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CAR.CarCtrl.1 ? also search for registry for data values containing "C:\windows\system32\gms" When yo...
