Re: DASH-2Pro Can-bus to Haltech
So this worked pretty well. We can get a handful of things to come to the DL-1 from the Haltech. One channel we can't see on the DL-1 is "fuel consumed" It would appear that it is a selectable option, but it won't display. Is there any collective experience with that here who could offer assistance?...

DASH-2Pro Can-bus to Haltech
Anyone ever (successfully) gotten CAN data from a Haltech ECU? I have a Haltech Platinum Sport 1000 ECU and a DASH-2pro logger that I would like to get together. Before I go wiring them together I'd like to know if the RT unit will interpret that the Haltech is sending. And I am not well versed on h...

eliminating DASH 3 alarms
On a Dash 3, how do you eliminate an alarm? I set a high alarm for an external input and it automatically set a low alarm of 0. I thought there was a command like <> to eliminate it, but can't get it to go away. Not sure why it decided I needed a low alarm, but that's another topic. As long as I can...

The test rig does use the same wiring as the car, 5v is supplied by the DL-1. Used the same ground on the meter as the DL-1 is seeing. Did verify the 5v from the DL-1 with a meter. Did not verify the meter against another meter or known source. I will do that. Did not pay attention to when the issue...

DASH 3 - removing tabs/Screens
How do I get rid of all but two display screens on my DASH 3? I have no real need for gear, speed, g-force etc. I want the lap time and the screen with the external inputs displayed. I want the system idiot proof for my endurance race co-drivers (pushing the down arrow button to scroll through scree...

single wire temp sensor returned values
Details on what I have: Second Generation DL-1. 2 single wire (Autometer) temp sending units, 1000ohm pull down resistor (one for each sensor), 5V reference from the DL-1. Returned values that are getting logged and displayed on a DASH 3 are in the 35 to 10 volt range. The logged voltage falls as th...

Are you logging a raw voltage on the DL1 and converting to a temperature in the Analysis software and in the DASH2? Yes, the DASH displays the raw voltage and I've written it down by hand concurrently with an OBDII reader that can display temp. If so the equation would be something more like: -108*...

Resistance temp sender equation/formula
I'm using an Autometer single wire temp sender, 5V reference from the DL-1, 1000ohm resistor and getting back very clean data, voltage ranging from 2.7 (room temp) to .5 or while hot. I've got an OBDII reader that provides deg F of the same location (the two sensors are in the same coolant passage),...

Syntax error in simulated variable units
I'm trying to set up RPM based on GPS speed. To do so, I've activated the Simulated RPM in the variable manager. Also there I have selected custom units and input the following: VAR_015*232.05 If I have just loaded the Analysis program and create the equation above, all is good. Where I have a probl...

"Not enough memory" error
Having updated to the V8.5.147 analysis I get an error when trying to load multiple runs stating "not enough memory to load file, run truncated". This happens when loading second run file. When the file is loaded, it shows up in the listing of lap times, but all the detail is "N/A&quo...

Might be a thread-highjack, but this was the only topic that came back from a search for Webinars. Based on what this thread was asking about, you folks did a webinar in the past, I am curious if you would ever do one again. I've gotten a few emails about training sessions but they are on the wrong ...

splicing multiple sessions
Is there a way to splice two sessions together? In an effort to avoid logging errors due to power being shut off while logging, I've got the setup file programmed to start/stop the logging based on vehicle speed. Works fine until someone puts the car off the track and comes to a stop. I I'm trying t...
