Water temperature sender unable to calibrate

This has been a long standing issue I have had for a while, in fact from day one. I have the Potenza branded Dash2 installed in a Westfield. All the sensors except the water temperature read correctly. For some reason the temperature has always been out, wandering. I have replaced the sensor three t...

I am running version 9.03. Tonight I have lowered the final shift light to 2000RPM and started engined and revved to 2000RPM whilst in neutral. None of hte lights came on.

I have been told the shift lights usually light up for a brief time when ignition is switched on, they do not. I have checked the brightness settings of the leds and whilst adjusting the brightness I noticed that only leds 2-6 illuminate. However I know led1 is used as a warning light but was under ...

Dash2 Shift lights not working - HELP!

The RPM is working. The gear indication is working. Final shiftlight set to 5800 (Its a V8 ), interval 250. My shift lights do not work. Anything obvious I can check? As the rev counter is not ideal for a low reving V8 engine, one of my bug bears that this rev counter is not more configurable. The e...

Yep, that is what I have done actually. However, being a bit of a perfectionist it annoys me. Okay, granted that cannot use decimals but why can you not change 9 sites on the scale to just 7!

Not really. I have decimals working on the other gauges on the display. I suppose it could be a firmware limitation but that's just software flashed into the EEPROM anyway. I would even be happy if I could change units to 1*100RPM, dont really care about have a decimal, I could then go up in tens an...

Ditto. Seems a shame to waste space and features on the dash due to a bug in the configuration software. This cannot be a difficult fix to make. So how about a feature request for the next version of Dash2 to allow digits other then 1 in the tens place? So we can have 6.5 to represent 6500 rpm for i...

Yep. Car is not IVAd yet so not road legal so I have the joys of the shift lights to come. Understand what you say though, coloured lights much more visual and easier to understand/process than a bar graph. I have just set it to 0,0,0,1,2,3,4,5,6 ! I have set up my Display #2 to show the rpm as a ga...

Last night I downloaded the latest configuration software just hoping this would fix the software ignoring the decimal places. It seems to honour decimal places in the RPM display now and even seems to retain them after saving but when flashing onto the unit it rounds up! Almost fixed. My firmware v...

There is a decimal place field in the RPM setup screen. You can enter decimals in the RPM values and you can see them on the mock up bar graph display. You save the config file, and they are still there but when you reload the file the decimal places are lost! So it seems like a bug in the software ...

I hadn't realized that you could have the same value more than once. What do you think to my idea of changing to 100's rather than 1000s? The only obvious problem I see is that the dash will still say 1000s at the top right. Yeah, it's a bummer you can't do smaller increments then 1,000 rpm. I did ...

RPM scaling on RT Dash2

I am running a V8 which redlines at 5800RPM so having the dash go up to 8000RPM is a complete overkill. More importantly the shift points pale into insignificance on the display. Ideally I want to change to 1 X 10^2: position = revs X100 0 = 0 1 = 10 2 = 20 3 = 25 4 = 30 5 = 35 6 = 40 7 = 50 8 = 60 ...

Receive my Dash2 back now with said dongle. Well its not really a dongle its a D-type connector. I removed the connector cover and not very surprised to find that Pin2 and Pin 5 have a link wire soldered in. Pin2 being RX and Pin5 being ground. I had actually thought of doing this but not knowing th...
