Hey guys, I've got the same problem. I want to connect a lap beacon onto the DL1 and tested it this morning but it didn't work. Then from a cable I put a 5 Volt signal onto the beacon input that worked well. My lap beacon receiver gives a signal with voltage of 5 Volts and the signal lasts 0,05 seco...

Hey KenD, a csv file is a comma separated value file. So with a refresh rate of 100 Hz you have 100 lines for one second of logged data. The columns are the different logged channels like time, speed, acceleration (see line 5 of your table) ..... and so on. Data starts in line 6. One line contents t...

Hey Turby, that's right, I'm also wondering if there is a special "007" version of the serial data format documentation. Yeah, it would ge greater to get through the software/hardware yourself... there a some good freeware serial software monitors on the web... but it's still difficult. Bu...

Hi Maxx, I had something similar few months ago. The GPS signal wasn't good I have to admit. But the result I had was quite similar to your one. Then in => Data => Analysis Options I removed the cross at "Trust accelerometer data over GPS data" . Then the track map was not that precise but...

Hey Turby, thanks for your reply. I'm mainly interested in the plugin for the RT software. I want to read in and store the data on the DL1, so that I can later analyze the engine data together with the parameters I log with the DL1 itself. In my opinion to display more than rpm and cooling temperatu...

Hey m3driver,
can you know import data of your ecu into the DL1 and analyze it after your run? How does that shell import script work? And how do you accept the data in the analysis program?

Best regards,
Patrick

Okay and again thanks, the problem is that I use a M400 and a telemetry option is not availabe. But there is communication by CAN and RS232, which uses motec to connect a motec dash. Is that "MoTeC serial input" that you mentioned a hardware item or a software/shell script? Because the har...

I connected the tacho output to a oscilloscope but it was'nt a 12V signal. Was quite strange, the signal was below 1 Volt so to low to trigger because for the rpm input you need 5 Volts. I wasn't able to use the rpm signal. But I will try it again on our new Formula Student race car. Best regards, P...

I also want to read in serial data from a MoTeC engine management and I'm interested in the communication regarding the DL1's side.
Can you send me the shellscript via email?

Best regards

Serial Data Output Format

Hi! I've got the following problem: In the support area of the Race Technology Homepage there are two pdf files that describe the format of the serial data output. They are linked but unfortunately I cannot download them because you need an account. Where can I get this password account from? Does a...
