RPM

The RPM is required for meeting the requirements for the R41 procedure. If the vehicle is not equipped with CAN bus then a direct RPM input is needed. Which can be one of the following

High level input Designed to connect directly to negative terminal of ignition coil, fuel injectors or CD ignition systems.

  • Connect RPM high to negative side of coil, switching side of injector or output of CDI
  • Connect RPM high ground to vehicle ground

Low level input Triggering voltage requires a low input of <1v and a high input of >4v and 15v maximum. Designed for connecting to most ECU tacho outputs. Maximum input frequency >300Hz.
