ECUType / EMtron

EMtron KV8 / KV12 / KV16

Compatibility

  • EMtron KV8
  • EMtron KV12
  • EMtron KV16

Configuration

The CAN output of the EMTRON range of ECUs is configurable, via the Emtune ECU mapping software. The correct settings must be made in order for Race Technology Products to connect via CAN.

Go to Communications > CAN Bus 1 > CAN Bus 1 Setup > Set the CAN 1 Baud Rate to 1Mbps.

Now go to Communications > CAN Bus 1 > CAN 1 – Channel 1 > Setup this section up as shown below:

Save the map file from File > Save As. Send the map file from File > Send File to ECU.

Connections

This ECU should be connected via CAN connections:

There are two accessible CAN buses. The CAN High and CAN Low connections can be found in the same locations across the entire range of ECUs, these connections are located on Connector D.

CAN 1

CAN 1 High – D8

CAN 1 Low – D14

CAN 2

CAN 2 High – D10

CAN 2 Low – D16
