I'm currently trying to set up a VDO dip tube fuel sender to a Dash 2.
The resistance measured at the tube when empty is 83 ohms and full is 5 ohms
I have fitted a 100 ohm resistor and I read 0.42V for empty and 0.03v for full.
Is this sufficient of a range to get a meaningful reading on the dash for a 25 litre tank or should I look at another value for the resistor?

Hello,
So based on the readings you've collected from the sender, you can use the 100 ohm resistor however it would be best if you use an external 5V regulator, instead of the DASH2's 5v ref.
The DASH2 5V ref is rated for 50mA current draw, connecting this sender to the dash would be get close to this fiure plus any additional sensors you have conected.
Most 5V regulators are rated for 1A current draw so you should be covered, if you have any questions in regards to this let me know and I can assist.

For the conections on the 5V side, look in the link below for the correct connections. (So instead of using the 5V ref out from the dash you'll be using the 5V ref out from the regulator, the GND from the regulator needs connecting to one of the GND's on the dash.)
