a count variable

Hello,

Is there any way to set up a count variable in analysis? I’m using a torque load cell to measure the breaking force of something... torque is the most important reading i want, but there is also an output for number of degrees of rotation.

It is basically just an on/off switch that cycles every 1 degree. Not super accurate, but is a good reference. I haven’t tried anything yet, but i know the DL has frequency channels? Would this be appropriate to use? basically i just want to count the number of degrees of rotation and relate that to the applied torque, and the finishing breaking force.

Hello,

Yes the DL1 has pulse count that starts counting from 0 after the logging is started. This is using the frequency channels but you do need to configure the pulse counting. Which DL1 do you have?

I see that i have the serial and the analogue upgrades... Is this upgrade just a reflash thing or do i need to send the units back in?

We need the serial number of your DL1 and we can the produce a license file that you need to save on the memory card. Once the DL1 is power up with the license on the card it will automatically load the license.

Wish it was that simple... I’m all corporate and junk, I’ll have to get a PO, start and eREQ, have a bunch of meetings.... ect.
