Video 4 - show/hide digital display on variable

Postby Rich52 » Mon Jul 03, 2017 2:30 pm

Video 4 config

Any ideas on how to show and hide a digital reading (speed in my case) using another variable?

Thanks

Hello,

You could try an 'IF' equation using a user defined variable in the software.

Open the VIDEO4 configuration tool > open the 'User defined variables' section in the variable(s) tree > open a user variable that is currently not in use > select 'edit equation' > enter an equation such as this: IF(VAR_0200 > 5, VAR_0200, VAR_0015), this reads as: if analog input one on the VIDEO4 is greater than five, display analog input one. However, if not greater than five, display speed.

Thank you Support(D) - that gave me a good hint and I managed to do what I needed by a combination of the user equation driving a digital control for readout together with a variable enabled bitmap overlay to hide the the now fixed digital control when not wanted.

It would be a good enhancement to be able to enable/disable display of the digital control under another control of another variable (or allow a transparent colour option?)
