REV Counter not working on dash 2

Postby omega0684 » Thu Jul 07, 2016 8:48 am

Hi guys,

I hope you are all well? I'm trying to get my rev counter working on my dash 2, the feed is from the OMEX 600 pin 12c.(tacho) to pin 2 top connector (solid white wire) on the dash 2 unit. In the menu I have rpm feed set to R232 YES, Dash 2 NO.

I'm not getting anything on the display, not even at cranking or idle.

Have I missed anything?

All the best

Hello there,

To use the taco from the OMEX 600 ECU you require one of our ECU interfaces.

These convert the data from the ECU into a format that can be read and understood by Race Technology products, in this case the DASH2.

If you just want the RPM you can always take it from a low level RPM signal on the vehicle, found on the negative side of an injector for example.

NOTE: If you do just want the RPM ad decide to take RPM from the injector make sure you change the RS232 to OFF and the dash RPM to ON.

Kind regards,
