Noisy signals

Postby Buckie » Wed Apr 29, 2015 10:07 am

Hi All,

Im experiencing a lot of noise on most sensors.
Im really out of clues how to fix this.
All cables are shielded and grounded.
DL1 is grounded.

I think my rear suspension sensor = dead.

Hope someone can help me out..

Yeah ive tested that settings but then im also filtering data out..
There must be something wrong.. But I don't know where.

I you look for example at the brake sensor its giving 0,6V in "idle".

Most brake pressure sensors that I have seen are ratiometric, with an output from .5v to 4.5v. So .6v at rest isn't crazy, and they are a little noisy given the large range that they cover.

You are powering all of these with the DL1 5v output?

What is your grounding setup?

Yes i'm powering all sensors with the DL1 5v output.

All sensors are directly grounded to the DL1 and the DL1 to the chassis.

Only the output from YEC loom ( TPS,Water,Speed,RPM ) are arranged by the bike manufacturer it self..

That sort of noise is typical.

Experiment with rate of change and smoothing per Hustler. Step up the smoothing little by little until it looks OK. Rate of change, you should be able to do some basic math to figure out what is reasonable and what is not a reasonable about of rate change.
