speed disapears after 80 odd mph

Postby Capposteve » Sat Sep 22, 2012 10:50 pm

as the title says, i have a dash 2 and works faultlessly. now when i go anywhere above 80-85 mph the mph readout goes to 0mph. i know i have a speed cut at 86mph from my ecu and im taking the speed signal strait from where it was plugged into the original cliocks. i also no that the speed cut doesnt kick in when it reads 0 mph either so not that.

any ideas??

Are you taking this ECU feed into an analogue or frequency input?

I have a similar problem. My math says the bolt head is too small. It passes the sensor before it can change states. Bolt head on a m7 or m8 bolt.

That is correct... the DASH2 filters the wheel speed input so it does not get affected by electrical noise.

So in short you need a bigger metal "target" for the sensor to see.
