Analysis Crashes in Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

Postby Peter Carroll/Toronto » Wed Jul 21, 2010 3:55 am

I recently upgraded my Thinkpad and it uses Windows 7 64 bit.

Most of the time Analysis crashed when it loads the video (Video4). Crash dump is as follows...

Any chance this can be fixed? Is there another codec I can substitute?

Hi Peter,

We've tested extrensively under windows 7 64 bit and have a number of customers using it without any issues - so it's certainly not as simple as "it not working under w7 64bit". Could you make sure:

- you try both directdraw and direct3d modes
- check you are running the latest driver for your video card
- all updates are installed

If the problem remains then email me directly (andrew@race-t******ogy.com) and I'll ask an engineer to investigate.

Kind regards,

Andy

Is there an easy way to flip it to the other drawing method? Or do I have to uninstall and install? Reinstalling or repairing did not ask the question...

...directdraw worked.

Thanks

No, it is not possible to switch between graphics modes. This is only selectable when installing the software.
