7.2.24 Will not install

Hi, I've downloaded the latest version 7.2.24 to upgrade from 7.1.17

The installer seems to run ok and finish. when I try to load 7.2.24 for the first time, It says its configuring and then

cant find the file Race Technology V7.msi and asks me to browse for it. now I've done a search and its not on the hard drive anywhere...


I've downloaded it a couple of times and had the same problem each time

p.s. also from which version of 7 does it stop supporting the older .run files

I had this as well... also had issues when installing other software it was asking for RT.msi file!

I solved it in the end by doing a complete un-install using RT's complete uninstall application. - seems ok now...

Yes, I had this problem on the past several updates. There have been a collection of small updates in the past month or so. Everytime I tried an install without a full un-install of the previous V7, I would get that error and then stuck in an infinite loop, to the point where I had delete the process in Windows Task Manager (CTRL + ALT + DEL).

Do a complete uninstall and then install the new version.

Also, I keep a copy of V6, and this does not seem to cause a problem.

Generally a good idea to do a complete uninstall using the uninstall in RaceTechnologyV7 > Other.
