wheel speed sensor...led flashes bt no speed

Postby Matt5964 » Tue Jun 03, 2014 5:21 pm

Hello,

I have the RT threaded sensor on the drive shaft all set up and when I rotate the wheel the LED goes out when the metal passes the sensor so its reading a pulse right?

But there is no speed reading on the DASH2

the tires are 205/50/15 so my reckoning the circumference is 1840.97mm so the calculation should be 1609/1.84097 =873.995 so I inputted 874 pulses per mile Right ?

what am I doing wring?

Also I have a RT oil temp sensor, is this plug and play or do I need any resistors (got the RT supplied wire at the same time)

last think my oil pressur is reading at around 60-80 PSI is that normal?? Its a 2ltr zetec blacktop.

thank you in advance for the advice etc.

Can't help you with the other questions, but if you have an RT supplied lead, the temp sensor will be plug and play; you need to select the standard temp sensor equation in the config. software.

Thank you for this info, hopefully some will know a solution to the wheel speed senser issue soon as I cant use the car with out it sorted.

The first thing to check on the DASH2 is that it is set up to use the internal wheel speed sensor and not to get the data from the RS232, this is done in the menu on the unit under the speedo/rpm/gear section.

Same problem. RT sensor with the led flashing, dash set for internal wheel speed but nothing showing.
