ECU interface wiring

Postby blentz2 » Wed Nov 05, 2014 2:18 pm

I want to cut out and replace the db9 connectors for my installation. Is there anything special about the wire that I need to be aware of? Is it shielded or anything? This is for an autronic ECU.

Hi there,

No, there is nothing special about the cabling used on the ECU interface. Aslong as the correct connections are made you should have no problems.

I must advise that removing the DB9 connector will void the warranty on the ECU interface and so I would recommend testing functionality of the unit prior to dissasembly.

Kind Regards,
