new DL2 + Dash2

Hi @ all!

last week i got my new DL2 with a Dash2.

I did all the cable-installs....charged the accu....and so on.

connected the DL2 and Dash2, but no data is displayed from the DL2 (Long./Lat./Tot. accerleration).

I check the setup.bin (was configurated to communicate with the dash2).
It doesn't work!

But something was strange, the "Log-LED" is always red, and the "Lock-LED" doesn't glow.
Does this mean i have no GPS satellite loged on?

However, i connected the dash2 to the RS232 of my laptop, and tried to get some data with the "lite monitor"- it worked!

the i connected the DL2 - nothing!
The transmit-pin is always on -6,4VDC (this means it is disabled).
But if i flash a new firmware, the transmit-pin is sending a signal to the pc, which is the same during the flashing process.
after flashing the pin retours to -6,6VDC.

My conclusion:
the hardware works, because i can flash a new firmware and the transmit-pin can change his signal.
But it seems, that the firmware gets stuck during booting and cannot read the setup-bin on the CF-card....

Has somebody a solution for this problem?
How can i perform a hardreset?

to be honest, it's an unbounded cheek to sell such an expensive system without (!!!) a manual!

It seems the DL2 is not starting up and this might because one of its inputs is shorted.

Try disconnecting all connections except power, including GPS. Does the status LED flash?

Also try with and without memory card.

i also think that the DL2 gets stuck while "booting" up.

Disconnectiong all connections didn't help. the leds "on", "Status" are glowing green and "log" is glowing red.

when i insert the CF-card, "status" and "log" are flashing for 2 seconds.
but the serial port will not be enabled....so i think it is not loading the setup.bin......

i retourned the DL2 to Agostec, they will retour it to you.

other question:
normally every electronic device is able to perform a hardreset....by pushing a few buttons at the same time.
i got no answer, how to perform a hardreset....

so i thought a reflash of the firmware will force the DL2 to do a hardreset...?

We are currently in discussion with Agostec regarding this. The item has been with our service department and has been repaired.

is there already a manual available with the electrical data/scheme of the ports, with dimensions of the inlet-resistor, scheme of the internal circuit?
