Emerald ecu connection

Postby Oconnorracing » Fri Jan 24, 2020 8:33 pm

Hi all,

I have a dl1 club and recently bought a lead from race technology to connect to my emerald k6 ecu. I have just received the cables but there 3 connections as follows:

Rs232 one
Rs232 two
Can port interface

Reading the website and emerald site - I am not 100% which one I use to go into the comms port on my ecu.

Separately the length of the cables is very short and where my ecu is mounted it would mean I would need to either mount the data logger on the floor or on the transmission tunnel cover both are pretty exposed in a Westfield.

So final question can I extend the cable? Or do race technology provide a longer cable?

Sorry to ask what are probably noddy questions but just keen that I get it right rather than damage the data logger or more importantly my ecu.

Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Pete
