Is there a variable or other way that indicates recording in progress that can be used to control overlay controls? I see a "Logging status" variable in video4 that seems to be always zero.
If not it would be a useful feature - I'm wanting to show a large speed/rpm display to use in a setup mode while not recording.

Re: video4 recording / logging flag
Hello there,
So the only way to see the overlay of the VIDEO4 without logging data would be to connect a monitor of some sort to the 'video out' connector on the unit.
When you say: "Is there a variable or other way that indicates recording in progress that can be used to control overlay controls?" , do you want to see for example - if the unit is logging based on a value that appears on the overlay control you have set on the VIDEO4?
I mean the logging LED on the front of the VIDEO4 will indicate this, however if you have it sealed away or behind the dash then I can understand in that situation the need to see this.
Am I on the mark or do you mean somethng different?
Kind regards,
