1kHz sample rates??

I just received the latest newsletter from race technology and it states the new version of the analysis software 8.5 supports up to 1kHz sample rates with appropriate hardware. Does this mean the DL2 can support up to 1kHz with an upcoming update or is there some other piece of hardware that is available for this. Currently, the DL2 is only capable of 100hz.
Any input would be appreciated.

Hello,

Sorry the DL2 cannot handle 1000Hz sampling. Our new data logger can handle 1000Hz on all of its 12 analogue channels and on both CAN ports.

The features are very new and the website and documentation is currently being updated. You can order the features with the hardware over the phone only at the moment.

Oh no. I just purchased a DL-1 MK3 with the understanding that it would support 1000Hz logging rates. Is 1000Hz only available on the Pro model?

I had been looking forward to 1khz sample rates on the DL1-MK3 I recently purchased also, but could not find any reference to it in the v8.5 software bundle I downloaded.
