Hello,

I have.
RT has description available.
I already have a small program in C++ reading the serial output stream.
I also have a excel sheet that reads a *.run file. But this is slow.(excel is)
It is not that difficult.
The format of the stream and the *.run is the same.

Erik,

I emailed support and yet to receive a response. It would be great if you can share the information, either C++ or stream format would be fine.

please email hungmdo@iinet.net.au

I got an email from Erik, he sent a pdf file that contains the description of the stream.
But this is quite an old one as it does not contain all the channels description.

However I got something a lot better from Andy at RT. He sent me a VB project parsing the stream, email support for it.

Hi guys,

I have send the PDF to all of you.
But the VB example is much better.
I got this as well and it gives all information about the channels and calculation of the output stream.

Happy programming!

Erik

Hey all,

I would be very interested in the binary serial output and Visual Studio Code to write my own interface software. Could any of you help me out please? What kind of success have you had with making use of the data stream?

Thanks

Moritz

Postby schoday » Mon Mar 12, 2007 5:48 pm

Hi everyone,

We need the PDF doc that describes the serial data format of the DL2's
serial data output (RS-232).

Please email it to : schoday@iit.edu

Please include the VB example too if you can.

Hey guys,

I'm also very interested in the document and especially the VB script example, because I have to build up a data loggin system for a formula student race car.
Please send it to p.ell at rennteam-stuttgart.de
Thanks and best regards,
Patrick

PS: Would be great to have a little download area for forum members, so that one user doesn't have to send the documents 50 times. And I think some questions come up very often...
