Creating .LAP file from Google?

Postby GregAmy » Thu Jul 31, 2008 2:08 am

I am supporting a Koni Challenge team at Iowa Speedway next weekend; they are a good Race Technology customer, currently using both DL-1 and DASH-2 in each of their three vehicles. Unfortunately, no one has been able to supply to me a RUN file from that track, and I really, really need to have some lap and sector markers ready to go for them for the first session of the weekend; our track time is EXTREMELY limited.

Does anyone know of a clever way to create lap and sector markers using Google maps, or some other way I can create a fake track outline based on GPS coordinates?

Maybe it wouldn't hurt if R-T were to keep a database of customer-supplied track laps specifically for this purpose?

Thanks in advance. - Greg

All things are possible...

ST or GS?

I believe that Georgian Bay (ST Chev Cobalt) are/were R-T users.
Are they direct opposition?
Has the category raced at this venue previously?

Good luck :!:

ST; they ran there last (?) year, as I recall. Unfortunately, the Colbalt folks are direct competitors... - GA
