DL1 configuration start-stop-control

Postby ml » Mon Mar 15, 2010 7:55 pm

Hello,

I tried to trigger the DL1 with longitudinal acceleration <-30. It doesn't work.
I tried >30. It doesnt work.

Doesn't work means, it logs nearly at once without reached the trigger-value, for example +0,1 g triggers logging instead of +0,3g

Is it a bug, or something special need to be take care of?

Autostop was off
Pre- and Post-trigger 1 min
No looping control

I'm afraid, I'm wrong. The data has to be logged at once, to fill the temporary storage.

Markus, please elaborate:

Have log files been created, or were you just concerned because of LED activity :?:

I think the second - that's the reason of my second post. Log files probably only have been created because I repeatedly manually stopped.

I have to examine it a little bit more.

I save a file with start-condition longitudinal acceleration < -30.

If I load the file the -30 has mutated to the 226?

What is this?

when you set up the start stop function based on longitudinal acceleration the unit is 1/100 of a G. so 0.3G would be 30. The convention is that negative acceleration is backwards or braking force and positive is forward acceleration.

Yes, that's the way I have understand it. I want to log automatically when I brake minimum 0,3g - like an accident-black-box.

But that is not the point of my last post. Why did the value change from "-30" when you save the setup.bin to "226" when you relaod the setup.bin? That seems to me, the dl1 don't get the correct value?

By they way: How do DL1 know, where is plus and minus? It can't know. It only can assume, that it is fixed in the normal way.

Which way is Plus/Minus

Postby pault » Wed Mar 24, 2010 1:21 pm

The DL1 by default expects forward acceleration to be in the direction from the DL1 front panel to the DL1 back panel. It can be configured to work the opposite way. The installation orientation setting is part of the configuration for the DL1.

Which tab? "DL1 Configuration System" has only "Update Rates" ... to "frequency inputs". Didn't I see the option?

Perhaps you are mistaken and you mean the car-configuration settings in Analysis?

But this is more academic, DL1 is fixed in the normal way.

My origin question is the mutation of the trigger-value. So long I haven't achieved to trigger when exceeding a certain brake-value. So far I only get much files. But I'm exploring.
