Link dont seem to sell a serial adapter though so would a usb to serial adapter work? Link should make one and have it available for sale. Vi-PEC doesn't advertise it, but they sell 'em. I'm sure the Vi-PEC cable would work with your link just the same. Alternatively, you could order another Link U...

I believe the Link G4 is very similar to Vi-PEC. I have a Vi-PEC V88 (which would be the Link G4 Extreme). You need a serial data cable for the Link. My Vi-PEC came with a USB tuning cable, so I had to order a serial tuning cable from Vi-PEC (as the DL-1 ECU interface can only connect to the ECU via...

Turn the unit off, disconnect the antenna, and turn it back on. Does the unit start up normally without the antenna connected? A damaged antenna can cause all of the lights to come on and stay on. I've known of a few users, myself included, that had this issue with damaged antennas. In every case, a...

Increase voltage of frequency input?
KnowledgeBase specs that DL1 frequency inputs require <1v low and >4v high.
I have a sensor which puts out 0v low and 2.5-3.0v high.
Is it possible to make this sensor work with the DL1, and if so, how?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The ECU interface wire is a Y-cable which allows simultaneous connection to the logger, dash, and ECU. This diagram shows Dash1 / Dash2, however the same setup works for the Dash3. I have my DL-1, Dash3, and ECU interface working perfectly with this setup as pictured in the Knowledge Base: Knowledge...

I have tried this test and came up with the following: In every direction, when the logger should have been reading 1G, it was only reading ~0.23 G's. Is this something that would be fixed by recalibrating the accelerometers? How did this problem get introduced to the system in the first place? Than...

Accelerometer Values Reading Very Low
I'm trying to help a friend. The accelerometer data recorded by his DL-1 has very low values. The traces look correct, but the values are way off. Where he would normally see -1.6 to 1.6 lateral g's, the data is showing ~-0.40 to 0.40 g's. Same situation for long g's as well. If you were to look at ...

Dash3 - Variable limitations?
Can the Dash3 display a variable that is derived by calculating data from two analog inputs? I would like to display brake proportioning on the Dash 3. I have two brake pressure sensors. Front and rear. Analog 1 = front brake sensor Analog 2 - rear brake sensor I have created two variables: FrontBra...

Hi Adam, Glad to hear it all worked out, and thanks for the update concerning the plug-and-play Vi-PEC's having an internal CAN/Serial header. That bit of info could save someone a lot of headache. Which RT Serial channel are you using for AIT? My Air Inlet Temp from the ECU maps to the RT serial ch...

Hi Adam, Glad to hear it is working!! Do you mean that you previously had the serial cable connected to the Vi-PEC's USB port, and now you are connecting to the Vi-PEC's CAN/Serial port, successfully? Just want to be clear in order to help others who may be searching this topic in the future. Using ...

From personal experience, I know exactly what you are talking about. The instructions and documentation seem relatively light, and sometimes actually are a bit light, but if you dig deep, you can usually find an answer. I've been there many times myself, as have others on these forums. The good news...
