Hello, Regarding RPM by default it is taken from the DASH2 built in input. You need to configure the DASH to take the RPM from the RS232. Using the 4 buttons navigate to SPEED RPM GEAR in the menu and change... RPM RS232 to YES and RPM DASH2 to NO Is the first value you see for water temp correct th...

There is an error in the documentation for the VOB and Dash1 in relation to RPM display. I believe you will need a factor of three to get the correct value. The input to the VOB is in tenths of 1HZ, so a value of 200 would mean 20 pulses per second, which would be 10 revs per second, or 600 RPM. So ...

Hi, After reflashing with the latest firmware you will need to put a setup.bin file on the card, otherwise the logger will most likely start or stop logging of it's own free will. This is because the set up parameters are new to the new firmware and don't have a default value so they need setting. M...

If you do want to do this modification, I would make sure that the wires on the relay are well insulated and that the relay is glued or taped to the board in some way so it can't move around inside the case. If the relay does move over time and the ground wire shorts against the power input you can ...

It's unlikely to be a card formatting issue. Do you know which version of the firmware you are using? Run the DL1 configuration utility and set the file name in there, this should reset the names. If you are still having a problem, I would recommend reflashing the DL1 with the latest firmware and se...

1) The Dash1 and Dash2 display raw GPS speed. For most applications this is fine, it only updates at 5Hz, but that is fast enough for a number changing on the screen, and it means if you go under a bridge you can lose it for a few seconds. The accuracy on this is very good though. 2) The output will...

As has been mentioned, the problem is the accuracy of the basic GPS unit, it can drift around by a few metres, this drift can take a long time, so from one lap to the next the accuracy will look very good, but if you overlay sessions from different days you can easily get an offset. This is exactly ...
