Anything is probably going to look daggy, but not much force is required and the precision is in the system's own engagement.
Velcro will certainly work.

The problem is not common, but has been experienced by a few users, including myself. I should have asked the question of the others who have responded to some other forum posts on this issue: Is the logger facing backwards or forwards In my single case, it was facing forwards, so one assumes the ca...

Great information.

Can you venture an opinion as to what a maximum bid price should be :?:

So is your Civic the "King" car? The way I read Jamaican forum chat, that appeared to be a Mar(c)k Viera project. It looks like Australian club racing is very similar to your activity. You may be able to secure a little more commercial sponsorship because it appears that your club racing i...

I haven't done any new literature searching, but thought I should look again at some stuff I saved earlier this year when I was investigating RTDs. My first thoughts were that this AEM device was overkill. Perhaps thermocouple metering/amplification is a little complex for a cheap kit and this thing...

There are kits for all sorts of things. I'm guessing that there will be too much rather than too little info on this topic.

How difficult is it being a car nut in Jamaica :?:

http://www.race-technology.com/thermoco ... _2_63.html or equivalent is required. It is not my area of expertise, but I understand that it may well be possible to buy and certainly make your own multi-channel amplifier and save a few quid.

Are you planning individual cylinder mapping (pretty serious), or are you just curious :?:

Good news Don't forget to make a test run with the car stationary while you slowly take the motor up and down through the revs. Although most of us live with them from day to day, four cylinder engines are full of vibration. Obviously, the small and light reciprocating components in bike engines red...

The car we lost the card from wasn't the fastest or harshest, but the circuit has a few big bumps. Rather than end up with a DL1 coated with adhesive cack from race tape, which we used at first, a rubber band or two has been useful. They stay wrapped around the logger and are easily flicked aside fo...

It still sounds more like a card (or writing) problem than a deep DL1 problem. Perhaps repeat the procedure, but this time do not insert the card until the DL1 LEDs have settled down after power up . What was the light sequence? There is no need to wait for 5 minutes. ... just a few seconds after th...

I can't speak for red mist's issue, but offer the general advice of reformatting the card, trying a new card, or sending a new configuartion to the logger. Is your 'redundant' SETUP.BIN still on the card? Of course, it should not have changed and I assume it will be 'resetting' the logger each time ...

Strange, but not unheard of. I did some experimenting earlier today and created (well, a DL1 created) run files with a directory like name. The card (and DL1) subsequently behaved themselves after the card was formatted from the Analysis software. If you look at the 7Mb file in Windows Explorer, it ...
