Looking at the data (and knowing the spec of your car), I'm surprised to see the lengthy dips in Long G when you change up the box... you still using the clutch for up-shifts ?

You never will I'm afraid... the best way to determine the start of your run is to look where the long G's first go over, say, 0.3 long G. Though looking at your data you need to mount the logger more horizontal, as at rest you are showing around 0.33g braking! I believe this can be tuned with an of...

This is how to connect up a remote start/stop switch... though it wanders off and talks about using RT's four wire illuminated push button... m Basically use a simple momentary switch between "Start Logging" and "Ground" on the back of the DL1. I've been using m for quite a few y...

+ or - 2% is not really an issue, you will probably have to filter the signal anyway to remove vehicle vibrations. Make sure the unit is mounted as level as possible. I tend to use the auto zero feature when loading runs which helps show the relative change in G.

A lot of ECU's turn off injectors on the overrun to save fuel... hence you will loose the rpm signal. The same can happen for signal sent to the coil(s).

What about other channels eg from ECU, do they "suffer" from the same fate when no more samples are received by the DL1, they will also continue to report their last reported value ? Maybe, a simple method to reset value to 0 after a suitable configurable timeout value has expired for that...

Could be lots of things... worth checking your RS232 wiring with a brake out box and also the configuration of the RS232 on your device (baud rate, data bits, parity, stop bits). Double check your DL2 configuration settings as well.
