Re: Video is too bright

Some time back I've bought a filter that covers half of the cams lense and lowers the brightness of the outside world.
It works quite well:

Counting up Laptime

Hello, on my Video4 I have a value which says "current laptime" and it shows the laptime of the last lap. as far as good. How can I adjust it that the laptime is counted up starting from 0:000 to the current laptime, then showed 3 seconds and starting again from 0:000 for the next lap? I s...

Problem is solved:

I mixed up polarity on the DL1 connector.
12+ from ignition went to the ground and vice versa.

Now connectors are sitting correct and revs are shown as they should :D

Thanks for all the input!

Cheers

Yes, the sound of this works competition engine is quite nice for a V8.

Okay,
I try what you suggested.

Thanks!

Hi Maxx,

The camera is directly behind the front seat.

There is nothing to move it more to the front and keeping the driver errors in place.
And also the difficulties with the wrong shown revs.

Maxx,

thank you for that answer.
Is there a value in the video configuration in which the white level can be rised or lowerd?
Then I could make the video darker.

Video is too bright

Hi,

I normally run the cameras in an open car and the picture is clear and with nice brightness.
But now I have installed the camera to a closed car and the cockpit is looking nice but the view through the windshield is very bright, almost white.

How to correct that?

I have set the number of pulses to 4 per revolution.

This is the MSD manual.

It shows the tach output to which the DL1 is connected with.

Hi, I run my system normally on a Triumph TR4 with good results. I now moved the equipment to my TR8 with V8 engine and I get funny RMP readings. m I connected the DL1 to the MSD 6a box to get a clean 12V square wave signal with a 20% duty cycle. What can cause this to have 42000rpm? Cheers Chris

Change color of text numbers automaticly at VD4

Hi, I would like to show the G-forces not only in the bar mode but in numbers too. I have set numbers which are linked to the correct G-forces. The numbers work great! I think it would be nice to have the number for braking and acceleration changed in red and green. So if I brake it should show -0,9...

I'm still fiddling with file shrinking. I do use the "Media to VD4 converter" for this. I move the slider on a bitrate of 1000-1500. After converting the analysis software does have some trouble to use that file. The video does hang, somtimes when comparing laps only one lap is visible the...

You need >3Mb/s to make it work. I don't know why but that seems to work.
I have a fast UMTS stick that does work and I have a 1MB/s cable DSL on which I get the same message as you.
