Most sensors these days are encapsulated, so using water is a great idea. If the wires leading to it are bare, just touch the end of the sensor to the warm water.

While it sounds like it's being corrected, no one's pointed out the other possibilities, that the running lights aren't attached to the DASH2, or back-lighting had been disabled via the menus (if that's even possible.)

Support, you are correct, it moves the limit value because it's trying to fix the goof. I just didn't think through what I was trying to do. Thank's for helping me out on it.

That's a very good point and probably exactly why it fails. I'll try it out soon and will report back to close the issue.

I'll try it again and will record my exact steps, but it does it every time. (I tried it about half a dozen times while trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.)

Alarm parameters changing themselves?

I'm using analog input #4 on a DASH 2 to read fuel level. I want to have a low-fuel warning at 2 gallons, so the low alarm was set to "2". The configuration file was then saved, and then that same configuration file was immediately reloaded and surprise, the low alarm setting of "2&qu...

Put a voltmeter across one of the buttons and power up the display. There should be about 5V, which goes to zero when you push the button. That'll find your problem in a hurry. If it's fine, the wire likely go to the wrong pins.

FWIW, I found that my AFR value was stuck at "14.7" until the engine had run for >45 seconds or so. For this reason, don't get too concerned if the AFR reading is stuck until you've let the engine run for a while... if it's still stuck, then get concerned.

It's been another year. Any progress on updating the DASH2 so that it acquires vehicle speed from the Hondata ECU instead of the pulse input? (I have not checked the release notes of DASH2 code posted in the last two years.)

Don't know if you found my thread (I have the same setup) but maybe it'll be of help to you. It seems us users need to help each other out for the most part... http://www.race-technology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2079

Should be very straightforward. Find the wire that powers only the high-beams and connect that wire to the blue dash lamp.

I'll venture that their sw is setup to count pulses via interrupt, meaning that only on change is it updated. Giving that, it'll always have the last value measured, so as the car slows down, it'll retain the reading last read before seeing zero input pulses.

Are you saying that rpm is not accurate at all, or that it is accurate but delayed?

Agreed, there's no sin in trying a conversion constant, see what the resulting reading is, figure how much it's off by, and adjusting the constant. You know where you're trying to go... make it happen.
